Death Stare
So today I went Port of Spain with my mom to do some *art* supply shopping and sort out some birth papers. I’ve never been in an art store; I live on a small island people, its difficult to find good bookstores and art stores; so I was as joyous and cheerful as can be. That feeling lasted for the half an hour I was on the bus; the feeling that followed was misery.
I had to wait 5 freaking hours in the federal whatever the hell you call it place, under a tent outside the building. OUTSIDE..get it? That’s the award winning service my country provides, give misleading information to cover for their sorry asses and horrible service. So we waited under the tent for about 3 hours, then they called everyone inside where we had to wait again! Bored, bored, bored was all I could think. So to make up some pathetic amusement for myself, I decided to do death stares. I stared at every employee with my most twisted face and pointed out what I didn’t like about them in my head. It was really random, went something like this:
“That guy deserves a death stare because his bald head is not as shiny as my van driver!”
“That girl deserves a death stare for a too tight skirt with a slit that rides up her ass”
At some point I said so many Death Stares that I mixed up the words and it became Death Note, which is a well known manga and anime by the way.
After 5 hours, my mom still didn’t get her papers…crap. Total crap. Well after we had to run around the capital searching for this one glorious art store.
We got lost. The rain came pouring; drenching me and my mom in cold, cold water. And my mom was sick.
I really wanted to go to the art store though so I begged my mom and then ran in the rain searching for a small store in an unknown area. Did I say it was pouring and there was flood? The street was so freaking long and then Whoopdeedoo I found it. I was soaked, shivering, alone and without a phone. So I borrowed a phone to call my mom; she didn’t answer. Had to run up the road, again long street, pouring rain. Found her then go back up the street, no rain, just a really long walk.
After a lot of torture I was finally able to buy some art supplies, of course I went crazy
but then we had to walk back up the street and to the bus terminal; so tiring. Oh I was also running through the capital, do you know how weird it looks when you’re desperately running in a bright yellow top in the rain? No I bet ya don’t. Oh wait that’s not the worse of it; the worse is not eating for 26 hours. 26 hours without food and I had to run so much. Well at least I’m happy with what I got! So that was my day in this long essay. Lots of waiting and running.
